Peperomia japonica (Arid Land Peperomia) is a species of perennial herb in the family Piperaceae. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to SãO Paulo, Cerrado, GoiáS, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, and Espirito Santo. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Individuals can grow to 0.5 m.
