It is native to Alaska, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Canada, the contiguous United States, United States, and western north america. Common Nettle has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Lorquin's Admiral. Common Nettle is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.96 m.
