Melochia tomentosa (Teabush) is a species of shrub in the family Malvaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Ceará, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Alagoas, Caatinga, Piauí, Pernambuco, Bahia, ParaíBa, Puerto Rico, Mata AtlâNtica, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by White Angled-Sulphur, Hypostrymon critola, Thorybes dorantes calafia, and Gray Ministreak.
