Muscaria micropetala Small, sp. nov
Plants 2-6 cm. tall, rather copiously glandular-pubescent ; leaves compactly crowded on the caudices, the blades 5-9 mm. long, 3-lobed at the apex, the lobes linear or oblonglinear ; flower-stalks relatively stout, 1-3-flowered, each bearing 2 or 3 leaves ; hypanthium about 3 mm. long at maturity; sepals broadly ovate, obtuse or acutish, about 2 mm. long; petals oval or oval-obovate, about 1.5 mm. long, clawless; follicles 5-6 mm. long.
Type collected at the head of Buffalo Creek, Teton Forest Reserve, Wyoming, August, 1897, by Frank Tweedy, no. 118.
Distribution : Wyoming and Utah.

Muscaria monticola Small, sp. nov
Saxifraga exarata Hook. Fl. Bor. Am. 1 : 244. 1832. Not S. exarata Vill. 1779.
Plants 4.5-16 cm. tall, finely glandular-pubescent; leaves crowded on the caudices, the blades 7-18 mm. long, 3-lobed at the apex, the lobes linear to oblong-ovate, acute; flowerstalks slender, typically 3-5-flowered, sometimes 1-flowered, each bearing 1-3 leaves ; hypanthium 3,5-4 mm. long at maturity, turbinate at the base; sepals oblong-lanceolate to triangular-lanceolate, 2-2.5 mm. long, mostly acute; petals obovate, 4-5 mm. long, clawless ; follicles about 5 mm. long.
Type collected near Banfi, Alberta, June 23, 1899, by W. C. McCalla, no. 2288. Distribution : Rocky Mountains, British America to Montana.
