Ribes lacustre (Prickly Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America, United States, Alaska, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Chrysotoxum fasciatum. Individuals can grow to 7 feet.
