Iresine diffusa is a species of shrub in the family Amaranthaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Pampa, ParaíBa, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Cerrado, The Contiguous United States, SãO Paulo, Pantanal, Espirito Santo, Rio De Janeiro, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, GoiáS, Caatinga, Alagoas, and Acre (Brazil). They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 0.57 m.
