Polygonum (Knotweed) is a genus of shrub in the family Polygonaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Greenland, Alaska, North America, Canada, and Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii. Flowers are visited by Nomia candida, Paragus haemorrhous, Lasioglossum hemicyaneum, and Nausigaster unimaculata. Individuals can grow to 6.6 m.
