They are native to Mato Grosso Do Sul, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, Paraná, Mata AtlâNtica, AmazôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Piauí, Ceará, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pantanal, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Pampa, ParaíBa, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Bahia, RondôNia, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo, Amapá, Sergipe, Alagoas, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, and Roraima. Flowers are visited by Agapostemon splendens, Red-waisted Florella Moth, Cryptobotys zoilusalis, and White-footed Leaf-cutter Bee.
