Bay Biscayne Creeping Oxeye is native to Paraná, Amazônia, São Paulo, Pampa, Mata Atlântica, Maranhao, Alagoas, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Sul, Distrito Federal, Rio Grande do Norte, Caatinga, Bahia, Pará, Ceará, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Cerrado, Rio de Janeiro, Sergipe, Amazônia, Goiás, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Rondônia, Pantanal, Roraima, Amapá, Espirito Santo, and Piauí. Flowers are visited by Zizeeria. Bay Biscayne Creeping Oxeye is a photoautotroph.
