Cynara cardunculus cardunculus is a subspecies of herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Apis mellifera, Oxythyrea funesta, Protaetia morio, and Stictoleptura cordigera.
