Ranunculus californicus (California Buttercup) is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Andrena caerulea, Phyciodes mylitta, Andrena vicinoides, and Platycheirus stegnus.
