Ranunculus acris is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by root-maggot flies, Lasiommata megera, Xylota lenta, and Cheilosia pagana. Individuals can grow to 0.36 m.
