Thymus vulgaris (Common Thyme) is a species of shrub in the family Lamiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Cyclyrius webbianus, Polistes chinensis, European honey bee, and Cacyreus marshalli. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
