Tabebuia aurea (Caribbean Trumpet Tree) is a species of tree in the family bignonias. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Goiás, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Alagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Paraíba, Paraná, Pará, Amapá, Caatinga, Rio Grande do Norte, Distrito Federal, Amazônia, Bahia, Pantanal, Piauí, São Paulo, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, and Ceará. Caribbean Trumpet Tree has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
