Tonestus lyallii (Alpine Goldenweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and North America. They have achene. Flowers are visited by Lycaena cupreus snowi and Chlosyne whitneyi.
