Nymphaea alba (White Water Lily) is a species of perennial herb in the family water-lilies. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Meliscaeva cinctella, Syrphus torvus, marmalade hoverfly, and Eristalis interruptus. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
