Cuban Bulrush is native to the contiguous United States, North America, Guyana, Brazil, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Suriname, Peru, French Guiana, United States, Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Bolivia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia, Cuba, and Panama. It has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
