Iris pseudacorus (Yellow Iris) is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Yellow Iris is native to the Netherlands, Algeria, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Norway, Yugoslavia, Belarus, Spain, Israel, Ireland, Poland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Moldova, Sweden, Greece, Syria, Germany, Morocco, Turkey, Portugal, Belgium, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Ukraine, France, Iran, Finland, Azerbaijan, and Palestine. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Viceroy. Yellow Iris is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.84 m.
