Bistorta bistortoides (American Bistort) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Colias scudderii, Boloria frigga, Boloria improba harryi, and Pyrgus. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
