Cyperus polystachyos (Manyspike Flatsedge) is a species of shrub in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Ceará, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Pampa, Rio Grande Do Norte, GoiáS, Pantanal, Piauí, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Hawaii, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Maranhao, Pará, Bahia, Sergipe, Distrito Federal, RondôNia, Tocantins, Cerrado, Alagoas, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, The Contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Caatinga, and Roraima. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.49 m.
