Vernonia noveboracensis is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Atalopedes campestris, Bombus impatiens, Polites peckius, and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet.
