Cyperus macrostachyos Lam.

Cyperus macrostachyos is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Norte, Bahia, Sergipe, Pampa, ParaíBa, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Piauí, Caatinga, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, and Pernambuco. They have simple, broad leaves.
