Mesosphaerum suaveolens (Pignut) is a species of shrub in the family Lamiaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to ParaíBa, Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pernambuco, Bahia, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), U.S. Virgin Islands, RondôNia, Roraima, Caatinga, Alagoas, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Puerto Rico, Pantanal, Maranhao, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Piauí, Pará, Sergipe, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Paraná, Mata AtlâNtica, Minas Gerais, Amapá, Ceará, Espirito Santo, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Tarucus, Megachile frontalis, Lime Swallowtail, and Pareronia hippia. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
