Justicia americana (American Water Willow) is a species of perennial herb in the family Acanthaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as threatened by COSEWIC. They are native to Eastern North America, North America, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Photinus, Palpada vinetorum, Anthophila, and Hylephila phyleus. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
