Digitalis purpurea (Foxglove) is a species of biennial herb in the family Plantaginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Common Banded Hoverfly, Large garden bumblebee, Ruizantheda mutabilis, and Melanostoma scalare. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
