Verbena bonariensis (purpletop vervain) is a herbaceous species of plants in the family Verbenaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Polites peckius, Little Yellow, small white, and Anise Swallowtail. It is a photoautotroph.
