They are native to North America, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Say's Cuckoo-leaf-cutter, NO NAME!, NO NAME!, and Coelioxys alternata. Individuals can grow to 2.3 feet.
