They are native to Tocantins, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Pantanal, GoiáS, Pampa, Piauí, Ceará, Amapá, Bahia, Pará, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, and Paraná. They have simple, broad leaves and drupe. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
