Allamanda cathartica (Golden Trumpet) is a species of shrub in the family Apocynaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Espirito Santo, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Piauí, Mata Atlântica, Roraima, ParaíBa, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Amazônia, Amapá, The Neotropics, Acre (Brazil), Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Bahia, Cerrado, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Ceará, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Pará, and Sergipe. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Oil-collecting bee.
