Silene vulgaris (Bladder Campion) is a species of perennial herb in the family carpetweeds. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Papilio canadensis × Papilio glaucus, null, Hadena, and Two-spotted Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m. They have variable sexual system.
