Oenothera elata (Hooker's Evening Primrose) is a species of biennial herb in the family Onagraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Western Yellowjacket, Anna's Hummingbird, Halictus tripartitus, and Halictus farinosus. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
