Verbena hastata (Blue Vervain) is a species of biennial herb in the family Verbenaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and magenta flowers. Flowers are visited by Verbenapis, Sachem, Lycaena dione, and Triepeolus remigatus. Individuals can grow to 0.97 m.
