Celastrus scandens (American Bittersweet) is a species of shrub in the family Celastraceae. They are climbers. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 15 feet.
