Miconia prasina (Granadillo Bobo) is a species of tree in the family melastomes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amapá, Pará, RondôNia, AmazôNia, Puerto Rico, Tocantins, Alagoas, Pernambuco, U.S. Virgin Islands, Roraima, Ceará, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Bahia, Caatinga, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Cerrado, Maranhao, Mata AtlâNtica, Sergipe, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, GoiáS, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 7.1 m.
