Ribes sanguineum is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Battus philenor hirsuta, Andrena hemileuca, Pieris marginalis, and Orange-rumped bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 12 feet.
