Carpenteria californica (Carpenteria) is a species of shrub in the family hydrangeas. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by European honey bee and Bumble Bees. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
