Saxifraga oppositifolia (Purple Mountain Saxifrage) is a species of perennial herb in the family Saxifragaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Greenland, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Smittia extrema, pteromalids, Entephria, and midges. Individuals can grow to 0.049 m.
