Pachira insignis (Wild Chestnut) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Afrotropics, Amazônia, Acre (Brazil), and Pará. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 31 m.
