Sauvagesia erecta (Creole Tea) is a species of shrub in the family Ochnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Piauí, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Tocantins, Cerrado, Alagoas, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Pará, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Sergipe, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Sul, Caatinga, Roraima, Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Paraná, Ceará, Espirito Santo, RondôNia, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amapá, and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 0.6 m.
