Foeniculum vulgare is a species of perennial herb in the family Apiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Sceliphron caementarium, Apis mellifera, Yellow-faced Bumblebee, and Papilio zelicaon. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
