Amaranthus hybridus (Slim Amaranth) is a species of annual herb in the family pigweed. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Slim Amaranth is native to the contiguous United States. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Dactylurina staudingeri (Gribodo 1893). Slim Amaranth is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.5 m.
