Tamarix aphylla (Athel Tamarisk) is a species of tree in the family Tamaricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Somalia, Morocco, Yemen, Mauritania, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Sudan, Libya, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Eritrea. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 13 m.
