Persicaria hydropiper (Water Pepper) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to South America. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Flowers are visited by Rivellia pallida, Leptometopa latipes, Exorista mella, and Icaricia acmon. Individuals can grow to 0.42 m.
