Description

Perennial herb, 30-65 cm tall, growing from corms. Leaves 4-8 with 3-5 leaves basal, narrowly lanceolate, 5-12 mm wide, reaching to just above the base of the flowering spike; up to 3 more smaller leaves along the stem. Inflorescence 3-4-flowered. Flowers white with a prominent dark purple streak on the tepals, sweetly scented, particularly in the evenings. Perianth tube narrowly cylindric, 9-15 cm long. Tepals more or less equal in shape and size, 35-45 mm long and 17-22 mm wide.
