Portulaca oleracea (Common Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. It is a succulent plant. It has a self-supporting growth form. Common Purslane is native to the contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Canada. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Clouded Skipper. Common Purslane is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.05 m.
