Podophyllum peltatum (Mayapple) is a species of perennial herb in the family Berberidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Eastern North America, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee, Sciara atrata, Grapeleaf Skeletonizer, and Mordellistena aspersa. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
