Caltha palustris (Marsh Marigold) is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to North America, Canada, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Dasysyrphus pinastri, apoid wasp, Sphegina verecunda, and marmalade hoverfly. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
