Salvinia minima (Water Spangles) is a species of annual herb in the family floating ferns. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Paraguay, Argentina, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Bolivia, Honduras, Ecuador, Belize, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Pantanal, Panama, Mata Atlântica, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Amazônia, Cerrado, Brazil, Eastern North America, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. They have simple leaves. They have alternation of generations.
