Nephrolepis biserrata (Giant Swordfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family sword ferns. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, the contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Cerrado, Piauí, Ceará, Pernambuco, Rondônia, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Caatinga, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Roraima, Paraíba, Pantanal, Amazônia, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Amapá, Sergipe, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, and Mato Grosso. Giant Swordfern has compound, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 14 m.
