Portulaca (Purslane) is a genus of herb in the family Portulacaceae. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Hawaii. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Chalybion zimmermanni, Trigona spinipes, Apis cerana, and Astylus variegatus. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
