Gyptis lanigera is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to South America, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mata AtlâNtica, SãO Paulo, and Cerrado. Flowers are visited by Syrphid fly, Cochliomyia macellaria, soldier beetle, and Prionyx. Individuals can grow to 0.21 m.
